Licensed Professional Counselor Resident

Elizabeth is a Resident in Counseling and a National Certified Counselor. Elizabeth received her Masters in Counselor Education from Virginia Commonwealth University where she interned with Longwood University’s Counseling and Psychological Services and VCU’s Business Career Services office. These experiences provided her with opportunities to work with diverse populations both in terms of identity and presenting concerns. Elizabeth has worked with clients on a variety of topics such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, stress, grief, and relational concerns. 


Elizabeth is trained in many evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and strength-based approaches. She implements these approaches to assist clients in identifying their values, bringing about positive changes and building important life skills. She is passionate about collaborating closely with clients to set goals and determine their therapeutic preferences. Elizabeth desires to help clients find holistic wellness through treating body, mind, emotion, and spirit. 


Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, traveling, and meeting new people in fun exercise classes.
