Meaghan Wright, MSW
Supervisee in Social Work
Meaghan is a Supervisee in Social Work offering in-person and virtual therapy for
children, adolescents, and young adults ages 8-24. She aims to create a
compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and
empowered to work through life’s challenges. Meaghan supports clients experiencing
anxiety, depression, ADHD/executive functioning challenges, low self-esteem,
perfectionism, stressful life transitions, and difficulties within relationships. She
recognizes that many young people experience pressure to meet high expectations
while navigating their emotions, identities, relationships, and changing environments.
Her goal is to help clients develop confidence, strengthen coping skills. Meaghan
believes therapy can be a place where you do not have to have it all figured out, where
progress matters more than perfection.
Meaghan utilizes a person-centered approach while incorporating cognitive behavioral
therapy, systems theory, and internal family systems to meet each client where they are
to support meaningful change. She believes therapy is a collaborative process and
works with clients to develop insight, build skills, and create goals that feel relevant to
their individual experiences. Meaghan finds that the foundation of effective therapy is a
strong, trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe, understood, and
accepted. While she provides guidance, education, and support, she believes clients
are the experts in their own lived experiences. Sessions may incorporate creative, age-
appropriate therapeutic techniques, games, and interactive activities to help clients feel
comfortable while connecting therapeutic concepts to their everyday lives. She has
experience supporting children, adolescents, and families involved in the juvenile justice
system, youth navigating significant life changes, and individuals with trauma
backgrounds.
Before becoming a therapist, Meaghan spent many years working as a biologist and
athletic coach, experiences that shaped her appreciation for resilience, growth, and the
importance of supportive relationships. As the child of a military family and someone
who competed in gymnastics and cheerleading from childhood through college,
Meaghan understands the impact of high expectations, transitions, and perseverance.
She has also traveled throughout the country, experiences that have strengthened her
appreciation for diverse perspectives and individual stories. Outside of therapy,
Meaghan enjoys attending concerts, spending time in nature, connecting with friends
and family, and relaxing at home with her pup.
If you are seeking a therapist who brings compassion, creativity, occasional humor, and
a genuine desire to see clients succeed, Meaghan would be honored to support you or
your child on their journey toward growth and healing.
