During her career, During her career, Sharon has supported children from preschool through young adulthood.

Licensed School Psychologist

Hi, I’m Sharon, a Licensed School Psychologist with over a decade of experience helping children, adolescents, and adults identify their strengths and personal values, and develop necessary skills, to navigate life’s inevitable challenges. I have a wealth of experience working with individuals who want help managing ADHD/executive functioning challenges, anxiety, depression, life transitions and adjustment issues, social stressors, and more. My goal is to compassionately support you as we work together to get you from surviving to thriving.

My approach is deeply rooted in Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (which is a type of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)). I want to help you identify what is truly important to YOU, to drop the struggle with the thoughts and feelings that keep you at a distance from what you value, and to recognize and develop your unique strengths. In essence, together we can identify and commit to helping you live a meaningful life, even in the midst of setbacks and difficulties.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Family Studies from James Madison University and a Master’s Degree and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in School Psychology from George Mason University. I worked in schools ranging from Pre-K to High School in a local Northern Virginia public school system where I was nominated for 2019 Professional Support Person of the Year by community members (parents and staff). I earned my Licensure to work in private practice in 2022, and have loved expanding my work to include adults in addition to children and adolescents.

Outside of my work I enjoy spending time with my family, being a new mom (!), watching football, practicing mindfulness, and reading.
