MEET LUCIANA OLIVEIRA

Resident in Social Work
Hi, I'm Luciana, a Licensed Master Social Worker driven by a deep passion for supporting the mental health of families. I provide culturally sensitive therapy to children and teens facing anxiety, behavioral challenges, learning disabilities, and school-related issues. My strength-based approach helps children and teens understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and responses. I integrate Mindfulness, Play, Trauma-Focused, and Attachment-Based Therapies and various Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) modalities to promote emotional regulation. Families working with me can expect a compassionate, holistic process aimed at building self-confidence, impulse control, and coping skills.
I hold a bachelor's degree in Community Health and a Master's in Clinical Social Work from George Mason University. I am pursuing Clinical Social Work licensure and a PhD in Childhood Development, focusing on mental health and developmental disorders. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading, and going to the beach.
