Izabela Osiniecka, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with a deep commitmentto providing compassionate, trauma-informed therapy to individualsnavigating complex trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, andLGBTQ+ issues. My therapeutic approach is rooted in a trauma lens, meaning I recognize how past and ongoing traumatic experiences shape aperson’s emotional, mental, and relational well-being. I amparticularly focused on helping clients work through complex PTSD,which often arises from prolonged or repeated trauma, and its impacton self-worth, relationships, and daily functioning. As an interactive relational therapist, I prioritize building acollaborative, authentic, and safe therapeutic relationship. I believethat healing happens within the context of a strong and trustingconnection, where we can explore your experiences, emotions, and goalstogether. My approach combines evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), and psychodynamic techniques, tailored to your needs and experiences. As a social worker, I am deeply passionate about social justice andpolitical advocacy. I recognize that systemic issues—such asinequality, discrimination, and oppression—can significantly impactmental health. I am committed to being aware of how these forcesaffect you, and I integrate this awareness into our work together, particularly in addressing challenges that may be specific tomarginalized groups, including the LGBTQ+ community. I strive tocreate an environment where you can feel heard, validated, andempowered to reclaim your sense of self and agency.Whether you're navigating trauma, struggling with anxiety, orexperiencing relationship difficulties, I am here to walk alongsideyou on your journey toward healing. Together, we can work to unpackthe layers of your experiences, build resilience, and help you movetoward a more fulfilling life.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, attending concerts, traveling, and exploring DC with friends. I live in DC with my two cats and identity as a member of the LBGTQ+ community.
