Alyssa Black, LMSW
Supervisee in Social Work
Alyssa is a Licensed Master Social Worker and enjoys working teens and young adults who experience challenges such as trauma, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. As a therapist, she believes that establishing a therapeutic relationship is key in any treatment and works to create a safe space free of judgment.
It is important to Alyssa to work with each of her clients to tailor their treatment to their individual needs. She incorporates a variety of evidence based approaches including ART (Accelerated resolution Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and Solution Focused Therapy. She also enjoys using expressive activities in session.
She has a Master’s in Social Work and a Bachelor’s in Human and Child Development, both from Brigham Young University. When she is not working, Alyssa enjoys going outside, especially when it’s warm and sunny. She loves having new experiences and trying out new hobbies!
