Ananya Rao
Resident in Counseling
Everyone deserves a space where they can slow down, reflect, and feel understood. Ananya Rao, Licensed Resident in Counseling, creates that space through a holistic, person-centered approach that honors the connection between mind, body, and emotion. Having an M.Sc. in Counseling Psychology and over a year of clinical experience, Ananya is dedicated to offering a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, supported, and met wherever they are in their healing journey.
While she is especially passionate about working with teens (ages 12–18), she also enjoys supporting children and young adults with concerns such as anxiety, depression, body image issues, and self-discovery. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and trauma-informed techniques to help clients gain new perspectives, build on strengths, and move toward balance and meaningful change.
Ananya also integrates her training as a certified yoga teacher, bringing mindfulness and body-awareness practices into her approach. Her primary language is English, and she can understand and speak basic Telugu and Hindi, allowing her to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Outside of counseling, Ananya enjoys curating (extremely specific) playlists, savoring a bowl of ramen, and spending time with loved ones.
