Andrew Walls, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Andrew is a Licensed Professional Counselor that works with adolescents and adults ages 15–64, including veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, teachers, therapists, caregivers, and parents of children with special needs. His primary specialties are trauma and PTSD, anxiety, grief, burnout, and relationship concerns.

Andrew's ideal client may look like they have everything together but feel anxious, overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. These individuals may be carrying the effects of trauma, grief, relationship problems, or a persistent feeling that they are not good enough.

Andrew's style is warm, straightforward, and collaborative. He listens without judgment, but will also ask thoughtful questions and help his clients look at patterns that may be keeping them stuck. Therapy with Andrew is practical and focused on the goals that matter most to his clients.

Andrew specializes in EMDR and also use CBT, ACT, mindfulness, self-compassion, and parts-informed therapy. Together, Andrew and his clients can work toward processing painful experiences, reducing emotional triggers, improving boundaries, and developing healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.

Andrew earned his master’s degree in counseling and psychology from Troy University and has nine years of experience in the mental health field. He is a Virginia Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Approved Clinical Supervisor. As an Army veteran with three combat deployments, Andrew understands the value of trust, resilience, and having a place where you do not always have to be the strong one.
