Clare Steenberge
Supervisee in Social Work
Clare is passionate about supporting adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, stress, life transitions, or are struggling with relationships or communication. Clare applies a person-centered, strengths-based approach oriented around Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). There is no “one-size fits all” approach to therapy, and she will collaborate with you to find the therapeutic techniques that work best for you. She believes in the importance of the mind-body connection and incorporates aspects of mindfulness and body awareness into her practice.
She received her Masters in Social Work from Catholic University and interned with DC public schools and in the non-profit sector. Before pursuing a career in Social Work, Clare spent several years serving in the military and has first-hand experience both as a veteran and military spouse and is enthusiastic about supporting military families.
Outside of work, Clare enjosy exploring Northern Virginia with my family and sharing her love of running, biking, reading and yoga with her two young children.
