Lian Chandler
Resident in Counseling
Lian is a Resident in Counseling offering virtual therapy for adults ages 18 - 45. Lian offers a compassionate, non-judgemental space for individuals to receive support for anxiety/depression, ADHD/executive functioning, and relationships/communication. Lian takes a friendly, humorous approach to therapy. She combines a playful interpersonal style with theoretical approaches such as person-centered, attachment, and systems theory to create a space that is safe, supported, and empowering.
Lian strongly believes in a collaborative approach, and that rapport is at the heart of the therapeutic space. Lian is a sounding board for her clients to gain clarity, perspective, and awareness. At the same time, Lian also believes in harnessing empowerment as a tool for healing, underscoring clients’ agency and accountability in their journey.
An adoptee from China raised by Hispanic immigrant parents, Lian is strongly connected to diverse backgrounds and an immigrant/multicultural upbringing. In her free time, Lian enjoys thrifting, dog parks, board/card games, and spending time with her husband and close friends. She also loves coffee shops and trying out local restaurants.
