Madison Thomas, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Hi, I’m Madison, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in helping teens and adults with anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem, and family/relational stressors. I also specialize in the perinatal and postpartum period. I aim to make therapy a place people feel comfortable being open about everything from their most vulnerable thoughts to fun life updates. I have a client centered approach that involves finding the connection between how thoughts, feelings, and physical habits impact mental health. I pull from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy in order to best address each individual’s specific goals.I hold a Master’s in Social Work and a certificate in marriage and family therapy from the University of Georgia, a bachelor’s in family and child sciences from Florida State University, as well as a certificate in maternal mental health from Postpartum Support International and Policy Center for Maternal Mental Health. I I am originally from Colorado, but have lived in Florida, Georgia, and Virginia. Outside of work I enjoy traveling, reading, and playing with my dog, Dilly.
