Meg Mossburg, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Many people begin therapy because they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward. Whether they're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or school-related challenges, they often want a safe space to better understand themselves, build effective coping skills, and create meaningful change.
Meg is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than five years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and parents. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from James Madison University and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University.
Meg specializes in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, autism spectrum disorder, and school-related or life-transition challenges. She understands that every person's experiences, strengths, and goals are unique, and she tailors therapy to meet each client where they are.
Meg's approach is warm, empathetic, collaborative, nonjudgmental, and brings in a sense of humor. She believes that feeling heard, understood, and respected is the foundation for meaningful change. Her goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable exploring challenges, celebrating progress, and building confidence and resiliency within themselves.
Meg uses a holistic, strengths-based approach that looks at the whole person, not just the challenges that bring them to therapy. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients better understand themselves, develop practical coping skills, and identify what's getting in the way of living according to their values. Together, Meg supports clients as they work toward greater awareness, emotional resilience, and lasting, meaningful growth.
Outside of work, she enjoys trying new recipes, spending time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors, painting, and spending time with her cats.
Meg understands that taking the first step toward therapy can feel both exciting and intimidating. She is committed to walking alongside each client with compassion and encouragement, helping them build the confidence and skills to create the life they want to live. She welcomes the opportunity to support you on your journey towards becoming the person you want to be.
