Sharon Hoffman, MA, CAGS, NCSP

Licensed School Psychologist

Sharon is a Licensed School Psychologist with over a decade of experience helping children, adolescents, and adults identify their strengths and personal values, and develop necessary skills to navigate life’s inevitable challenges. Sharon has a wealth of experience working with individuals who want help managing ADHD/executive functioning challenges, anxiety, depression, life transitions, adjustment issues, social stressors, and more. Sharon's goal is to compassionately support her clients while they work together to go from surviving to thriving.

Sharon's approach is deeply rooted in Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (a type of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)). Sharon works to help you identify what is truly important to YOU, to drop the struggle with the thoughts and feelings that keep you at a distance from what you value, and to recognize and develop your unique strengths. In essence, together we can identify and commit to helping you live a meaningful life, even in the midst of setbacks and difficulties.

Sharon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Family Studies from James Madison University and a Master’s Degree and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in School Psychology from George Mason University. Sharon worked in schools ranging from Pre-K to High School in a local Northern Virginia public school system where she was nominated for 2019 Professional Support Person of the Year by community members (parents and staff). Sharon earned her Licensure to work in private practice in 2022, and has loved expanding her work to include adults in addition to children and adolescents.

Outside of work, Sharon enjoys spending time with her family, being a new mom (!), watching football, practicing mindfulness, and reading.
